Cushioning

We’re hopefully going to get a day-sofa-bed for the nursery in the next few days, and to keep it from looking too stark and functional I’ve been trawling etsy for cushions to soften the edges a bit. Here are a few favourite finds…

I love the simplicity of these chevrons from SewGracious (plus green is the best colour, so it had me at hello)

The colour and design of this beauty from Pillowation is just brilliant and would bring a healthy dose of ‘bright’ to the room (and the pattern reminds me a bit of Sasik, an inspiring women’s sewing cooperative we stumbled across in Zanzibar… )

Maybe the clean lines of this Corgi by MissSDesigns is more the thing (and it does appeal to the Royalist in me!)

But I could still have clean lines and a splash of colour with these scandinavian-style prints by Jane Foster

Then again, maybe I should be making my own cushions? (Absolutely. Because that’s what I really need right now – another project to start and then stash under the coffee table only to have it stare at me disapprovingly every time I sit down to watch telly for five minutes…) Or perhaps it’s time to acknowledge where to draw the line on the new-project front?!
